Rapa Nui- Easter Island

Easter Island has been a place that I have been intrigued to see my entire life. The large status called "moai" are magnificent and it blows my mind to think that this island is filled with over 600 statues. Easter Island is the world's most remote inhabited location.
We will be staying the longest in Easter Island because of the large grounds there is to cover. I plan on seeing all of the status and walking throughout the whole Rapa National Park. We will be staying for a total of five days!

We will first start our journey on April 29th 2011 from Toronto's Pearson airport straight to Easter Island in Chile. It is a 10 hour flight and we will be taking Lan Airlines. We will arrive at on April 30th. When we arrive we will be taking a taxi to a nice cozy bead and breakfast on the island called " Hotel Turaa". There aren't very many lavish hotels to check into at Easter Island because the natives of the Island are simple and live very minimally. Hotel Turaa is known for their great hospitality and comfortable stay.

on May 1st we will embark on our journey to see all of Easter Island and will finish the whole tour on May 5th.

Coast:
1. Two first class tickets from Toronto to Chili- $6,619.12 CAD
2. 5 night stay at Turaa hotel- $94 CDN per night= $470 CAD
3.Two 5 day tour around Easter Island- $108 CAD

Total: $7,197CAD
